eLC Course Design Consulting Services

The University of Georgia utilizes eLearning Commons (eLC) as it's online learning management system. eLC is powered by Brightspace's Desire2Learn LE 10.3 and is used to host fully online classes and course materials for face-to-face classes.  The system provides a variety of instructional tools including the ability to organize and publish course materials, assignments, discussions, quizzes, grades, as well as third party integrations for textbook resources and collaboration tools.

Benefits of Service

eLC provides faculty, staff, and students a single location to access courses in which they are enrolled.  The system automatically generates ATHENA course sections and enrolls users.  Non-ATHENA courses for faculty and staff can be created quickly and easily by request, providing a secure, online area for groups and committees to meet and share information.

Franklin OIT provides training and support to Franklin College faculty and staff using eLC.  Services include individual and group workshops, self-help resources, and troubleshooting support via our helpdesk ticketing system.
