Create a new personnel page

It's ideal for the unit administrators to create a new personnel user account first. That way, you can simply add the new user account's information to the authoring section after you've created their new personnel page. This will enable the new user to log in and make changes to their own personnel

Basic Pages

Basic pages are used for basic display information for the end user. For example, a page about the history of the department, a page detailing majors or degrees, or a page about study abroad programs are considered basic pages. A basic page is simply a title, with some text in the body, and an optional side bar. Images can be embedded within the body of the page.

Step 1: Create

Are you interesting in giving your personnel access to update their own pages?

  • First use our Adding Personnel User Accounts documentation to create their account
  • Next use our Assigning Authorship to Personnel pages documentation to connect their user account to their personnel page
  • Last, send your faculty, staff and graduate students Instructions on how to edit their personnel page after you have granted their access.

    Save

After you have saved the page, you will see the visual page. In this example, we used the side bar, but again this is optional. If you do not use the side bar, the left hand column will span the whole page. Here is how it will look.
