1. Download the software from https://imagej.net/Fiji (or https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/download.html).
2. Choose the macOS link to download the software.
3. When the download has completed, look for the application in your Downloads folder.
   1. If you do not see it, double click on the fiji-macosx.zip file to decompress the software.
4. Drag the FIJI application to your Desktop or to another folder inside of your home folder. If  
   1. If more than one user on
   the computer on
   1. a shared computer needs FIJI,
   the software needs to be installed for every
   1. repeat these steps for each user.
5. Double click on FIJI to open the software. (See the note below if you encounter an error.)
