Overview

The instructions below will show you how to add a page to the menu bar using edit. In most cases you will be adding a Basic Page, as other types of pages are automatically set to appear places (i.e. News, Events, Research). For this example, we will be adding History to the About Us section.

Please Note: If you'd like to add a link or page to the menu and arrange it's placement, please visit Adding a link or page to the menu.

Step 1: Editing the Page

Open the page you want to add to the Menu.
Click on the "Edit" tab at the top.

Step 2: Open Menu Settings

Click on "Menu Settings", located on the right hand side, under Published.

Step 3: Change Menu Settings

  1. Check the box next to "Provide a menu link"
  2. Edit the "Menu link title", if needed.
  3. Click on the down arrow for "Parent item" and it will display all of the current menu choices.
  4. For this example, we are going to place "History" under "About Us", so we chose "About Us" from the drop down menu.

PLEASE NOTE: If you want to add a page to the main menu bar (i.e. Directory, About Us, News), simply select "<Main menu>" under "Parent Item".

It will then show up as a link on the main menu bar (as shown below):

Step 4: Save and Preview

Click on "Save"

View the Menu for your site and you will see "History" has been added under the "About Us" section.
