Special Note about UGA’s Enterprise Data Agreement with regards to Microsoft AI Large Language Models and training:

UGA has an Enterprise Data Protection Agreement with Microsoft which governs the privacy, protection, definition, and data locations of collected or submitted data to Microsoft.

Microsoft Office 365 does not default to ingesting user data for training Microsoft AI models. Microsoft 365 Copilot, which integrates with Office 365, ensures that user data, including prompts and responses, is not used to train foundation models.

Regarding the Copilot Commercial Data Protection agreement, it does cover Office 365. The enterprise data protection (EDP) terms and commitments apply to Microsoft 365 Copilot, ensuring that user data is protected with encryption, privacy controls, and compliance with regulations like GDPR.  This means your data in Office 365 is safeguarded under the same terms as other Microsoft 365 services.
