Creating a Study Abroad Entry

This document shows web committee members how to create study abroad entries for the ‘Find Your Destination’ tool on the Franklin College website.

Step 1: Create a New Study Abroad Entry

Once logged into the website, click on ‘Content’.

Click on the blue ‘Add Content’ button:

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Study Abroad’:


Step 2: Fill Out Relevant Information

You will now be able to fill out the fields to create your entry.

Fill out the Title, select the ‘Type’ of program and the ‘Location (country)’.
For ‘Location Details’, add the city and state information for a program within the United States (not a required field).
Select the ‘Term’ it is offered from the drop-down menu.

Under ‘Program Length (Weeks)’, add the number of weeks the program will be offered.

Next add the ‘URL’ and 'Link text' for the Study Away Link.

Next you’ll add ‘Study Abroad Keywords’, separated by a comma.

Note: If you are copying them from an Excel file, you can select and then copy the Excel field that contains the keywords. Then paste them into the field in the Drupal field for the Study Abroad entry. It will automatically create all of the keywords with commas for you!


Step 3: Save the Study Abroad Entry

Make sure the box next to 'Publish' is checked and click on ‘Save’.

Your new Study Abroad entry has been created and will appear on this page.

This is what it will look like after you hit ‘Save’.


Editing a Study Abroad Entry

After a Study Abroad entry has been created, you may need to make edits to a specific entry. Since the page for “Find Your Destination' is a list of Study Abroad entries, you’re not able to edit the page directly, but you can edit the individual entries.

Making Edits

First you’ll need to log into the Franklin College website to edit a study abroad entry.
Once you’re logged in, go to this page to make edits: https://www.franklin.uga.edu/study-abroad

You’ll see a column on the far right of the table that says ‘Edit’. Find the entry you want to edit and click on the corresponding ’Edit' button.

Now you can make your edits. Once you’ve finished making all of your edits, make sure the box next to ‘Publish’ is checked and click on ‘Save.’

All of your changes are saved and they will now appear on the ‘Find your Destination’ page.
