Departmental Web site 40-hour Service Offering

A free program for Major Units in Franklin College to improve your web sites

The Franklin OIT Web team has created a free program for Major Units in Franklin College (Departments, Centers and Institutes). By participating in this free program, you get the benefit of our expertise and advice on how to improve the content of your site based on best practices. The other great thing about this program is that we not only make recommendations for improvements, but we also do the work for you. We spend up to 40 hours of time working with you on your site. We may go over 40 hours if there are major improvements that we believe will benefit Franklin College as a whole, and you agree to these changes.

The scope of service applies to an entire unit web site and is not meant to improve a specified area of your site. We take a wholistic view of your site and look for site wide improvements that benefit all audience members.

The time commitment is very minimal for you. We ask you (or your delegate and decision maker) to spend 1 hour on a zoom call to go through the recommendations that we have. Then after we have done the work, we ask you to spend an hour or so looking through the changes to make sure everything is as you expected based on our agreed upon changes.
