How to Look Up Distribution Groups and Members
If you must send a message to a group of email addresses but are unsure of the address or if a specific email address is included in the group you may use the following steps.
Step-by-step Guide
OWA (Outlook Web Application)
Finding the Distribution Group
- Log into OWA using your UGAmail account, and create a new email message.
- Click "To", type part or all of the group name into the search field, and press enter or click the magnifying glass symbol.
- Click the "+" symbol beside the group name to add it to your list of recipients.
- Click Save to return to your message.
View the Members of the Group
- To view the members of the distribution group, simply click the group name.
- Select "Members" if it is not already selected.

Finding the Distribution Group
- Create a new email and click the address book icon to the right of the "To:" field.
- Type part or all of the group name into the search field.
- Select the correct group and click the "To" button to add it to the recipients list then close the "Search People" window.
View the Members of the Group
- To view the members of the group click the group name then click the downward-facing arrow on the right.

Finding the Distribution Group
- Create a new email and click the "To..." button.
- Type part or all of the group name into the search field.
- Select the correct group and click "To ->" to add it to the recipients list then click "OK".
View the Members of the Group
- To view the members of the group, double-click the group name.
- Select "Members" if it is not already selected.
