Generating Student Lists for Building Card Access Controls

Generating Student Lists for Building Card Access Controls

Summary

Certain units may need lists of student information to provide to building card access maintainers for after-hours or certain facility access. Examples include Boyd and Driftmier Hall. This guide provides some recommended steps for undergraduate and graduate coordinators or sectioning officers to use in obtaining such lists from the UGA ARGOS system for system information. Franklin OIT does not maintain this system or this process and IT employees do not have access to this data, this is being provided as-is.

Process Overview

There is an ARGOS report which can be run by undergraduate/graduate coordinators and sectioning officers to produce such a list. The report will produce a CSV that includes both graduate/undergraduate students which can be filtered by student population as needed for a given term. The resulting document should use Sendfiles (https://sendfiles.uga.edu/) to facilitate sending the information to the desired unit or individual maintaining Card Access controls for the desired building.

(Card Access requests for Franklin College units typically go through the Franklin Facilities Management Team / FFMT: https://www.franklin.uga.edu/directory/franklin-facilities-management-team)
